About me

I am a Professional Supervisor based in Cambridge. I qualified  in March 2021 via the Diploma in Supervision delivered by Cathy Davey training. Cathy worked alongside Ali Hetherington as the psychotherapist, in delivering the 360° Diploma to initial cohorts of sign language interpreters.

Supervision offers a dedicated space and time to explore, discuss and reflect upon the issues, emotions and dilemmas which can originate from your work. Sometimes language itself can be the barrier to accessing feelings. Where it feels right I try to work creatively using a range of art resources. Don’t be afraid, no interpretive dance. Unless you really want to! There will also be the opportunity to applaud your practice and dare we say it, have some fun.

I offer Professional Supervision to interpreters, lipspeakers and  ‘people-facing’ professionals. I provide supervision sessions both face-to-face and via remote video platforms such as Zoom or Teams etc. I currently work on a one to one basis and have availability for new supervisees. As of March 2024, I will also be offering group supervision sessions.

I am not a native user of BSL but I am happy to explore working with deaf BSL users. In working together as supervisor and supervisee, we create a safe space that supports and celebrates your development as a resilient and reflective practitioner.
